Thunder Stones are a staple of the Pokemon series and they return in Pokemon Legends: Arceus (PLA). In earlier Pokemon games, these stones were somewhat elusive and offered in limited quantities.
Luckily, in Pokemon Legends: Arceus, Thunder Stones are common. Here’s our guide to getting more Thunder Stones.
How to buy Thunder Stones
You can buy Thunder Stones from the Outpost Trader with 1,000 Merit Points. Merit Points are acquired by finding NPCs and/or other players’ lost Satchels when playing offline or online, or by going into Space-Time Distortions.
They can also be bought from Ginter for 5,000 Pokédollars at the Ginko Guild’s Cart, but they show up randomly.
Best farming locations for Thunder Stones
In Pokémon Legends: Arceus, the easiest and quickest way for players to find a lot of Thunder Stones is to farm them in the five different wilderness regions. In each of these areas, there are three different kinds of ore that stick out of the ground.
Players can send out their Pokémon to break them and then get the ore. Some of these ores will also shine, which means they have rarer materials, like evolution stones, in them. When players look for these shiny ores, they might find Thunder Stones or other valuable materials. In particular, Black Tumblestones have a high chance to spawn Thunder Stones.
Thunder Stone request rewards
One request will reward players with a Thunder Stone when successfully completed. The request that rewards a Thunder Stone is Request #52: Eevee’s Evolutions.
When you complete the quest, you’ll be given an option to choose between a Fire Stone, Water Stone, or Thunder Stone.
