Dinkum is pretty much a life-simulator for Australia. You must make ends meet and survive the cruel and harsh Australian Outback. But how do you get about and earn resources and special items in Dinkum? Well, the best way to go about in Dinkum is to mine.
But remember, the Mine and the Quarry are separate and are not to be confused with each other. To make the most of your time and resources in Dinkum, you need to unlock Deep Mining which requires you to complete a particular set of steps. It can be tricky to figure out, but we’ll help you along the way. Here is how you can unlock Deep Mining in Dinkum once and for all!
Unlock the Deep Mine License in Dinkum
First and foremost, to start your mining journey in Dinkum, you need to get a hold of your very own Deep Mine License over from Fletch. For this, you need first to earn around 3,500 Permit Points. You can only unlock the Deep Mine License after you acquire the Mining License Level 2. So, to get the Mining License Level 2, you must first unlock your Mining Skill and upgrade it to Rank 10. When you’re done buying the license, you will need to figure out how to build the Mine Entrance Deed.
Construction needs around 10 Bags of Cement. In addition, you’ll need to get your hands on 10 Old Gear. Make sure to have 1 Old Contraption ready. You’ll also need 2 Old Keys. To add to your list of requirements, you’ll require a total of 5 tin bars in addition to 5 copper bars. Construction will come at a pretty heavy price as it’ll put your town into a debt of 250,000. Ouch.
It’ll take a full day to complete construction. Once the entrance to the mine is finally complete, all you need is a Mine Pass.
How to Get a Mine Pass in Dinkum
This is time-consuming and tedious, but it’s worth it in the end. A mine pass is pretty much a single-use item that enables you to gain access to the Deep Mine. You can purchase the Mine Pass from John for around 25,000 Dinks. This seems pretty expensive, considering your town is already in debt of over 250,000 Dinks, but it will be worth it once you start mining resources and cashing out.
You’ll make up for your losses in the Deep Mine by mining Rubies and other rare items and resources that John will happily purchase from you!
