First introduced in Generation 8 with the release of Pokemon Sword and Shield, Copperajah has turned out to be a bulky Pokemon that can dish out lots of damage. Copperajah is a physical attacker with high HP to absorb damage.
As a Steel-type Pokemon, Copperajah has great natural resistances. Copperajah is immune to Poison-type moves and takes reduced damage from Normal, Flying, Rock, Bug, Steel, Grass, Psychic, Ice, Dragon, and Fairy-type moves. That’s a lot of damage resistance.
Combined with its high base HP and Attack, Copperajah can be a challenge to fight. Copperajah can survive a lot of turns and can punish you with its strong attacks if you’re not careful – especially in its Gigantamax form.
For reference, here are Copperajah’s base stats:
- HP: 122
- Attack: 130
- Defense: 69
- Special Attack: 80
- Special Defense: 69
- Speed: 30
- Total: 500
But every Pokemon has a weakness – including Copperajah.
What is Copperajah Weak Against?
As a Steel-type Pokemon, Copperajah is weak against Fighting, Ground, and Fire-type moves. Copperajah takes 2x damage from Fighting, Ground, and Fire-type moves.
Players can use Fighting-type Pokemon like Machamp, Ground-type Pokemon like Garchomp, and Fire-type Pokemon like Flareon to heavily damage Copperajah. These Pokemon benefit from the 50% STAB bonus when using moves that match their type, so they’re a great option if you want to beat Copperajah quickly to tear through its high HP and defenses.
Pokemon that know Fire, Fighting, and Ground-type moves like Flare Blitz, Close Combat, and Earthquake can also deal extra damage to Copperajah.
